The past nine months will go down in my personal history as one of the most challenging times of  my life. I had a run in with Lyme disease in June 2009.  All is well, but it wasn’t fun.  I lost my mom to COPD / emphysema in July. In August, my husband and I decided it was time to bail out of northern Virginia.  We sold our home of 10 years in September and moved to Lexington, Kentucky in October. We moved into a new house in November, and the last of the boxes are finally either unpacked or stowed in the garage.  My sincere thanks to everyone in the reading and writing world who offered prayers and good wishes. God is so good . . . I will be forever grateful for his amazing promises.

More family news … My oldest son got engaged!  I’m looking forward to having a daughter at last (my husband and I have two sons) and to wedding bells in October 2010.
